Valley-brewed independent craft beer made for the locals, by locals.

At Valley Hops Brewing we make and pour top-notch beers that represent our home. Our aim is simple: we brew beer that locals love to drink.

We’re proud of what we do, and we’re involved in every step of the process – from brewhouse to bar. We live and breathe the good stuff.

Our independently brewed beer is full of character — ranging from bold and hazy to clean and refreshing, appealing to all tastes. Whether you’re an old-hat beer expert or new to the brew, we’re stoked to bring you a bunch of lively new characters to hang out with — great beer you can enjoy with anyone, even your novice mates.

Pull up a seat and enjoy craft beer at its best — poured fresh from the brewhouse on a rooftop in the Valley.

Exhibitionist Tropical Ale
With the out-of-the-boxers

Exhibitionist Tropical Ale

This one’s a bit of a show-off. Our Exhibitionist Tropical Ale screams ‘look at me!’ with its lively fruit aromas and light, dry finish. This beer’s an enthusiastic nod to the musos, the artists, the fashionistas, the designers, the hipsters and all the out-of-the-boxers who strut their stuff on the Valley’s lively streets. Best paired with a spot of people watching, take a sip of the Exhibitionist and unleash your inner Valley eccentric.

21 Pubs Pale Ale
With The Pacesetters

21 Pubs Pale Ale

Peaking in the 1990s, this boozy fun run saw groups of mates pulling on their shorts and fluro mesh singlets, clipping up cash-filled bum bags and running a 16-kilometre course through inner Brisbane, stopping at 21 pubs along the way for a pot. As the story goes, runners were paired-up to make sure their run buddy didn’t cheat, both the run and the beer quota. The 21 Pubs Pale Ale is our cheers to these fine athletic specimens. A refreshing, medium-bodied and hard-working American pale ale.

Malt: Ale Malt, Munich Malt and Light Crystal

Diehards Lager
With the champs

Diehards Lager

A beer for the champs, the sloggers, and the battlers. Diehards Lager salutes our true-blue local Rugby League team — Valleys Diehards. Just like its namesake, this beer gives 110 percent. They say when you join the Diehards family, it becomes part of your DNA – just like this lager recipe has become part of ours. This is a crisp, easy-drinking, ‘proper lager’ with some serious staying power.

Here in the Valley, everyone’s welcome to become part of the jumble of people that make this place unique. Herbalist IPA
With the healers

Herbalist IPA

We’re not suggesting our Herbalist IPA will keep your Qi in balance, but we can guarantee a harmoniously balanced beer with a toffee-like malt profile, pine and citrus aromas and a bittersweet finish. Valley legend has it that in the 1980s, a tobacconist began wandering these streets sharing the wisdom of traditional Chinese Medicine and healing strangers’ ailments. Among locals he’s known as ‘The Father’ of Chinatown. This brew pays homage to him.

Our refreshing ode to good times in the Valley will soon have you dancing down Brunswick Street Mall. Bursting with summer fruits, our Fiesta Mango & Passionfruit Sour is loud, unforgettable and celebrates local talent – just like all good music festivals should.
