Valley Hops Brewing pours freshly brewed indie beer, made on site, on the rooftop of Valley icon, Cloudland. And it might just be your new go-to watering hole. Here, you’ll find ice-cold beers, top-notch food, a show-stopping venue and one seriously impressive view.

Valley Hops Brewing is here to celebrate the characters of the Valley – pouring beer that gives a friendly nod to the people and past of this neighbourhood.

Head Brewer Josh Warren is brewing six signature beers – including a crisp, light-bodied lager called Diehards (that’s named after the local rugby team), a tropical ale, a fruity sour, a pale ale, an IPA and a Hazy IPA. And each refreshing brew will be named after people, places and moments in the Valley. Josh says, “Valley Hops is home to Fortitude Valley’s very own beer, something the locals can drink and be proud to call their own.”

But there’s more than beer beyond the bar. The team won’t let you go hungry. Valley Hops Brewing serves up tasty snacks from the charcoal grill and hearty pizzas from a wood-fired oven.

Not your average warehouse brewery, the rooftop brewhouse is a bit of a head-turner. Ride an elevator above Cloudland and you’ll step into a space where the design is as carefully crafted as the beer you’re about to drink. Then there’s that view over the Valley and the Brisbane CBD. And, as Head Brewer Josh says, “The people-watching in the Valley is unreal. You see every kind of person from every kind of background. It’s a great cultural experience.”

But if craft beer isn’t your drink of choice, that’s okay. Paul Janssen, Valley Hops Brewing’s General Manager says, “we want beer lovers to be able to bring their mates, partners and family members who aren’t into craft beer (yet!), which is why we also offer premium wines, delicious food and a great experience for all.”

Paul says, “Our aim is to make beer that locals love to drink. We created Valley Hops Brewing to celebrate the wonderful playground that is the Valley. Through our beers, we’ll share stories of the people, places and times that have shaped the Valley throughout its fascinating history. We want to make the Valley proud to have its own beer – one that can be enjoyed in an impressive setting.”

Come for the brews and stay for those views. Valley Hops Brewing has now joined the Valley skyline and is open just in time for summer days.
